In may 2019 my account mysteriously went negative $1560. I called to ask why and did not get a clear answer.

I was told that it is because of a reverse funding. When i asked what funding was reversed they did not have an answer. Fast forward a year. On april 15 2020 my stimulus check was deposited into that very account due to my 2018 taxes.

Gobank setoff the negative balance even though they are centrally located in pasadena ca and ca Gov. Newsom passed the executive order protecting stimulus from setoffs. Gobank i want my money back and should charge you for the distress and the 34 hours thus far i spent trying to call and being placed on hold for an average of 26 min a call. Abide by the law of the great state of ca since you are headquartered in California.

To not return the stimulus money goes against the law of this state which means not only are you committing a financial crime but even worse identifying the principles behind the gobank brand which is money is more important than doing the right thing for the people of this state and country.

Shame on you Gobank and i will see this fight to the end. If anyone needs a corporate number to Gobank here you go it will be the direct number to a marketer and another to someone on the board of Gobank 1(76*)453-**** and 1(62*)765-****.

User's recommendation: We have to keep the pressure on banks to do the right thing. They make millions off the back of lower income families just holding their hardworked for money. Then they steal from us and most just stand by and watch. Enough Gobank i will be on you til you give the money back even if i have to sue you.

Product or Service Mentioned: Gobank Direct Deposit.

Monetary Loss: $1200.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

GoBank Cons: No supervisor who can make decions and not read of prompts.

EXECUTIVE ORDER N-57-20 WHEREAS on March 4, 2020, I proclaimed a State of Emergency to exist in California as a result of the threat of COVID-19; and WHEREAS the economic impacts of COVID-19 have been severe, and Californians have suffered unprecedented financial harms as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic; and WHEREAS Congress and the President have enacted the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, Public Law 116-136, to provide emergency financial assistance to individuals affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, among other purposes; and WHEREAS to alleviate the financial harms caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and to otherwise further the public interest in mitigating the economic impacts of COVID-19, individuals who receive financial assistance under the CARES Act should be able to use such assistance to meet their own immediate financial needs, and to provide support to individuals who need and are entitled to such support; and WHEREAS on April 16, 2020, I issued Executive Order N-52-20, suspending the State’s entitlement to certain financial assistance made available to individuals under the CARES Act, and recognizing that such assistance should be made available to individuals (including custodial parents and other caregivers) who need such assistance in connection with past due support; and WHEREAS under the provisions of Government Code section 8571, I find that strict compliance with various statutes specified in this Order would prevent, hinder, or delay appropriate actions to prevent and mitigate the effects of the COVID 19 pandemic. NOW, THEREFORE, I, GAVIN NEWSOM, Governor of the State of California, in accordance with the authority vested in me by the State Constitution and statutes of the State of California, and in particular, Government Code sections 8567, 8571, and 8627, do hereby issue the following Order to become effective immediately: IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT: 1) Financial assistance made available under section 2201 of the CARES Act (concerning 2020 Recovery Rebates for Individuals), and any other federal-, state-, or local-government financial assistance made available to individuals in express response to the COVID-19 pandemic, shall be exempt from any attachment, levy, execution, or garnishment, except as otherwise provided in this Order, without requiring any further action by the person receiving such financial assistance (including, but not limited to, the filing of any claim). This exemption

"Shame on you Gobank " LOL...no Shame On You... Typical Serial Dead Beat who didn't handle their business and had to use a "bank" like this in the first place.

Shame on you for not following up like a mad dog to get this resolved. Flash forward to now, you're upset and want to flash the COVID card to get out of a debt The sad part is YOU agreed to these terms when YOU joined this bank. I'm betting you would have let them chase you forever and a day rather than resolve the issue once and for. This is what YOU get for being stupid and a Serial Dead Beat who had financial problems long before the virus and now use it as an excuse to release you.

Shame On You.... "You must work for them."

Haha i read this comment and first of all when i see you use the word shame multiple times it tells me you are a person with a limited vocabulary. A simpleton, that feels the need to critique other people.

Unhappy in the world you find yourself in. The preoccupation of commentating provides relief to that tugging spirit of depression and sadness. You think you have it all figured out with possessions but deep down you feel miserably. I hope you find better days ahead.

Peace and love buddy. Go bank is breaking state law while they conduct business in the Great State of California. Laws are established and must be followed.

If we allow Financial Institutions to violate laws, while entrusted and benefiting from holding are hard earned money, then we all fail. Gobank do the right thing and have corporate call me.

Thanks for the free psychoanalysis session. Considering how broke you are, I would have loved to pay you.

One thing your little jailhouse lawyer bit didn't say was you're a dead beat who owed money and didn't have enough sense to resolve a problem in a timely fashion. The time to sue was when they were wrecking your credit and bouncing you into ChexSystems or were you already there.

Yeah, that's why you're banking here. Peace and Hair Grease to you...
